Barack Obama’s Logo Design

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

Here are two videos about the process of designing Barack Obama’s campaign logo.  It’s really interesting to see what other logos they looked at before deciding on the final one.  Equally interesting is how they tweaked the design to fit specific groups of people.

Here are a few examples of some great takes on Barack Obama’s Campaign logo:

Pixilation: Tony vs. Paul

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

 What is pixilation?
Pixilation is a nifty video process that simulates stop-motion animation. As opposed to taking a picture, moving a little, and then taking another picture, you leave the camera running and go about your business.  Then, while editing, you bring in only the frames you want to appear in the movie.  To give the appearance of “floating,” all you have to do is jump and move forward (over and over again) and bring in only the frames of you in the air.

Tony vs. Paul is an awesome YouTube video example of two guys who spent almost a year creating an editing a five minute video:

Two Criminals, One Brick: No money

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Two criminals try and break into a building throwing rocks/bricks at it. In the span of a few seconds their plan goes from stupid to unconscious… it’s almost impressive.
