Pixilation: Tony vs. Paul
What is pixilation?
Pixilation is a nifty video process that simulates stop-motion animation. As opposed to taking a picture, moving a little, and then taking another picture, you leave the camera running and go about your business. Then, while editing, you bring in only the frames you want to appear in the movie. To give the appearance of “floating,” all you have to do is jump and move forward (over and over again) and bring in only the frames of you in the air.
Tony vs. Paul is an awesome YouTube video example of two guys who spent almost a year creating an editing a five minute video:

i’ve seen a few really sweet youtube videos and thought it was crazy how they did it with stop motion… pixilation doesn’t make it seem as cool
but a year of making it is intense
